BACKGROUND:
In Arizona GameShow Fundraising has been started by Starz Entertainment.  Who is Starz Entertainment.  Owner Eric Godfrey has been the driving force behind Starz Entertainment for the last 8 years.  He has been a mobile DJ for 28 years and in 2003 he went full time with Starz Entertainment  and followed his dreams to build his company into one of the premier DJ services in the United States.  Since the end of 2002, annual Sales are up 800%.  No that is not a typo!  But sales can not be the only measure of success.  Who is Starz Entertainment?  Here are some things to help!

  85% of the KJ’s and 60% of the DJ’s we checked were using illegally copied or downloaded music.

• We spend over $250 every month on JUST karaoke music AND $250 on DJ Music.  We buy one copy for each set of music we use.

• Starz has more music, 35,000+ Karaoke selections, over 21,000 different Karaoke songs, We bring over 20,000 DJ tracks to our events with access to over 200,000 tracks.

• Starz has better music.  We subscribe only to the top quality Karaoke discs, not the cheap ones.  Our DJ Music is all radio edits so no profanity.

This fundraising concept was started by owner, Eric Godfrey, whose daughter is active in choir and drama in the Mesa School District.  As president of the choir and the drama club, Nikki Godfrey found they could not do the play they wanted (lack of funds).  They could not take 2 special trips they wanted (lack of funds).  This was frustrating and he set out to try to help all kids and schools in the same predicament.  Starz has been doing game show events for several years for fun segments during corporate events and for training sessions.  Why not turn this into a win-win fund-raiser for schools.  The other issue seen over the years is that as the services at Starz have become more in demand, schools are having more and more trouble trying to hire legal , insured, professional DJ services for school dances.  Frankly we are out of the budget at most schools.  So , all schools participating get discounted school dances and if they hit certain goals, they earn free school dances.  NO TYPO - FREE SCHOOL DANCES!
